Patchwork and Quilting Classes

Tutor: Lyn Grant

Starting; Monday Morning 9.30 to 11.30 am 13^th February 2012

Cost: $92.00 for 8 lessons

 

Starting: Tuesday, 31^st January 2012 or Wednesday, 1^st February 2012

Cost:  $115.00 for 10 lessons

Morning: 9.30am to 11.30am

Afternoon: 1.00pm to 3.00pm

Evening: 7.00pm to 9.00pm

 

Lyn will help you work through your own project, whether you are a complete beginner or a more experienced quilter. Some of these classes are already full, so be in quickly to reserve your place.

 

 

Dressmaking Classes

Tutor: Robyn Keall

Starting; Thursday Evening, 2^nd February 2012.

Time: 7.00pm to 9.00pm

Cost: $103.50 for 9 lessons

 

From the complete beginner through to those wanting start sewing again. This class has proved extremely popular, so you will need to add your name to our waiting list if you are interested in learning dressmaking.

 

 

 

Must Make it – Fridays

Need to finish that quilt quickly or secretly? Want a table to pin up a quilt? Or just need a few hours away from the usual routine. Switch your phone off and bring your project in to work on with few interruptions. There is NO TUTOR for these days, although the shop staff will be able to help with any minor issues.

Friday, 9.30 to 4.00pm. Cost: $5.00 per day

Explore your Elna

Saturday, 18^th February 2012, 9.30am to 12.30pm

Tutor: Sue Wakelin

Cost: $15.00

 

Due to popular demand, we are repeating this class again this term. This class is for all you ladies with Elna Sewing Machines, who would like to learn some new skills on your machine. Bring along all your questions and problems and Sue will show you a few secrets. You will be experimenting with some of the features on your machine and learning how to use some of the feet tucked away in the machine tool box.

 
 

Paverpol – Jeans Pot Plant Holder

Learn the techniques required to create this cute Pot Plant Holder using Paverpol. Samples are in store now. Wear old clothes, no jewellery (especially rings) and be prepared to get dirty.

 

 

 

Craft Club

Our Christmas Club proved so popular last year, we have decided to continue this through out the year concentrating on gifts for other occasions e.g. Easter, Mothers day etc.

 Be in quick as this club is almost full.

 

 

 

 Patchwork, Bargello Basics

 Saturday, 17^th March 2012

We welcome Gloria back for the day to teach how to make a Bargello Quilt.

We will have a sample in store shortly. 

 

 

 

Quilt till ya wilt

 Saturday, 24^th March 2012.

 Tutor: Lyn Grant

 Cost: $290.00- Includes all fabric, wadding and backing fabric plus lunch and dinner.

 10am – till late!!

 

A wonderful fun day. Go home tired and satisfied on a day well spent.

 A few weeks before the class, come in and choose your fabrics, then just arrive on the day (with your sewing kit, safety pins, thread and machine of course).  

 We will wash and cut your fabric, provide lunch and dinner, so all you need to do is sew.

 A 50% deposit is required when you choose your fabrics. Early bookings are essential so we have time to prepare your fabrics.
